Pre-Order Policy

At Grove Street Bakery, we strive to make your creative vision a reality. As with any work of art, perfecting the details can take some time. For this reason, we need a MINIMUM of 36 hours (preferably 48) for any custom order.  Highly detailed cookies for occasions such as baby & wedding showers, weddings, and specialty birthdays are often booked 4-6 weeks in advance.  Please plan accordingly as we are only able to take a small number of highly detailed custom orders per weekend.

  • Custom Orders must be placed MINIMUM 36 hours in advance.

  • More time may be needed, depending on the complexity of the request (special events, large orders, etc..)

  • Prepayment is required for all preorders

 

We understand that life gets crazy and things are easily forgotten. That’s why an hour before closing each day, we contact our guests by phone as a reminder about their preorder. We are happy to reschedule the order as necessary, or hold it until the following day if contact has not been made. For any items that are not picked up the following day, no refund will be issued. 

 

Refund Policy

  • Full refunds will be available if orders are cancelled no later than 48 hours prior to pickup 

  • 50% store credit available if cancelled within 24 hours

  • No refunds will be given for same day cancellation, or forgotten orders

Do You Accept Debit Cards?


Yes! We accept cash, credit, debit and checks!




How do I place a pre-order?


Most orders can be placed through our online ordering system. All of our rolls, donuts, pastries, and cookies can be ordered online at any time. You can even do basic customizations for cookies, such as adding writing and changing the colors. Online orders must be placed at least 48 hours ahead of time. However, if you need specific fonts, colors, or drawings, you will need to request a custom quote. Custom orders require more lead-time, we recommend at least 1 week, but will do our best to accomodate your order as quickly as possible.




Why can’t I place an order for the same day?


We are only able to make a small number of items each day and we almost always have a line of customers inside the store. We cannot set aside items on the same day because it would make those items unavailable for customers who are waiting in line already.




How much time do I need to place a pre order?


We ask for a minimum of 48 hours, but we do tend to fill up pretty quickly (especially on the weekends) so the sooner the better! For cake orders, we do require a minimum of 36 hours.




Do you offer any nut-free items?


Several of our items are made without nuts, however, we have a very small production facility we can not guarantee that there will be no cross contamination. If you are concerned about a severe allergy, we do not recommend any of our products.




Do you offer gluten-free items?


Unfortunately, we do not offer any gluten-free items at our bakery. We recommend the Recipe Girls for gluten free baked goods.




Do you offer any vegan items?


We do not offer vegan items at this time.




Do I need to wear a mask in the store?


We are following CDC guidelines. Vaccinated customers are welcome into the store without masks, but we do ask that if you have not been vaccinated that you continue to wear your mask out of respect for our guests and employees. The store is small, so we’re also trying to limit the number of people in the space at any time.




Do you make cakes?


Yes, we do offer an assortment of cakes. We can make cakes for many occasions. We offer sheet and round cakes. For cake inquiries, please fill out the “Get a Quote” form on our website.
