How far in advance should I place a custom order?
For most custom cookie orders, we require a minimum of 48 hours. Custom cakes typically need 72 hours, and highly detailed orders often book out 4 to 6 weeks in advance—especially during wedding season or holidays. If you're planning a themed event or ordering large quantities, we recommend reaching out early to secure your date and confirm availability. All custom orders are handled on a first-come, first-served basis and require confirmation with prepayment. Simpler designs or basic customizations may require less time, but we’ll always let you know what’s possible based on our baking schedule. Planning ahead ensures we can give your order the attention it deserves—and helps you avoid disappointment. Not sure how much time you need? Do you offer gluten-free or vegan items?
We do not offer gluten-free or vegan baked goods. Our recipes are based on traditional ingredients like flour, butter, and eggs, and we bake in a shared facility where cross-contamination with allergens (including nuts, dairy, and gluten) is possible. If you or someone in your party has dietary restrictions or allergies, we recommend contacting alternative local bakeries that specialize in those needs. For gluten-free products, we often refer customers to Van Meters' Gluten-Free Bakery. For vegan items, Sugar Mama Bakery is another great local option. We believe in being upfront about our capabilities so you can make the safest and most informed decision. While we may not be the right fit for every dietary need, we’re always happy to provide referrals and support you in finding the right bakery for your occasion.
What is your cancellation and refund policy?
We understand that plans change. If you cancel your order more than 48 hours before your scheduled pickup, you’ll receive a full refund. Cancellations made within 24 hours of pickup are eligible for a 50% store credit. Unfortunately, we cannot issue refunds or credits for same-day cancellations, no-shows, or orders that are forgotten. All custom orders require prepayment at the time of confirmation, and your pickup window is agreed upon during the ordering process. These policies allow us to manage production, staff time, and ingredient costs effectively while being as fair as possible to our customers. If you’re concerned about a potential conflict, please reach out as soon as possible—we’re happy to help you reschedule or adjust arrangements when we can. Clear communication helps ensure a smooth experience for everyone.
Do you offer delivery or curbside pickup?
All orders, including both standard and custom, must be collected in person at the bakery during our regular business hours, as we do not currently offer delivery service. However, we are happy to provide curbside pickup upon request. If you’d like us to bring your order out to your car, just call us when you arrive, and we’ll make it happen. We ask that you arrive within your scheduled pickup window so we can ensure your order is fresh and ready. Please let us know in advance if someone else will be picking up on your behalf. We pack all orders with care, but we recommend transporting delicate items (like cakes or decorated cookies) flat and in a cool environment. While we can’t deliver, we do everything we can to make pickup easy and convenient.
Do you make nut-free desserts or accommodate allergies?
While some of our baked goods are made without nuts, we are not a nut-free facility and cannot guarantee any product is free from cross-contamination. Our bakery uses shared equipment and preparation areas for all items, including those containing peanuts, tree nuts, dairy, eggs, and wheat. Because of this, we advise against consuming our products if you or your guest has a severe food allergy—especially nut allergies. We take food safety seriously and include this information on our website, order forms, and in-store signage. If you’re unsure whether our treats are safe for your needs, please contact us before placing an order. Your health and safety are important to us, and we’d rather refer you to a better-suited bakery than risk a reaction. When in doubt, err on the side of caution—and don’t hesitate to ask.
